The Amazon river and the Ocean are similar in many ways. Both of these bodies of water have a variety of different species of fish. There both also not explored all the way and they still have many species of fish that still haven't been discovered. The Amazon is more muddier and murkier and it is way harder to actually find the fish. The ocean on the other hand is clearer and it is easier to spot the fish. in the amazon river some of the fish there are not yet discovered and scientist go and try to find these rare fish. The ocean also has fish that are not yet discovered and these fish are way harder to reach
this is one of the fish on the video.

Tides
the moon affects the ocean tides that it is kind of weird how all of the physical characteristics work. Well the moon has a gravitational pull that is strong enough that it pulls the the ocean towards it. The Bay of Fundy has the highest tides in the world, and those enormous tides alone make that the Bay of Fundy is one of the world’s greatest natural wonders. Twice everyday the bay fills and empties of its 100 billion tonnes of water during each tide cycle—that’s more than the flow of all the world’s freshwater rivers combined. The height of the tide difference ranges from 3.5 meters 11ft along the southwest shore of Nova Scotia and steadily increases as the flood waters travel up the 174 miles of shoreline to the head of the Bay where, in the Minas Basin, the height of the tide can reach an incredible 16 meters (53ft).

Oceanographers
Many people need to know how the waves move and stuff. Well we need to know how much the waves will increase. Surfers use it so that they can see how good the surf is going to be. There are many different people that study the waves like parents to see if there kids's wont drown. Oceanographers study the waves so that they can tell when there are going to be alot of rouge waves. Boat captains also need to know so that there boats wont capsize.

Blue Planet Coast Animals
The Sea turtle lives out in sea threw its whole life but it goes out into the coast of Africa to breed. The male and the female mate out in sea and they go and swim off to the beach to lay there eggs. The female turtle waits until night to lay her eggs so that she wont get attacked by predators. After 9 weeks the eggs are ready to hatch and they start going up and digging there way out. There are a group of birds that wait for the baby turtles to come out and they start gobbling them up and only a small amount of these turtles make it out to sea only to be eaten by sharks and salt water crocodiles. The ones that do make it out are the ones that live to grow and live very long.

world currents
the wind and the currents interacte with each other by many ways. the wind is affected by the coriolis effect and when they collide with each other it goes down to the water. when the wind gets collided with the water it starts moving and currents are formed. when the currents come from the equator they they get hotter because there is hotter water. when the currents come from the poles then the current is colder because of the water. the coriolis effect also effects the way the current is going left or right because the winds deflect with each other.
The winds and the currents interact with each other threw the coriolis effect. the coriolis effect is the rotation of the earth, it is also the cause of how the wind moves. when the winds hit the currents then the wind hits the currents and they cause the water to move. the different temperature changes effect how fast the wind moves. when the water is cold it moves slower, when the water is hot the water molecules start to move faster. the water currents bump into each other and they move directions.

The Coral Seas
The Coral reef helps many different organisms it is a big resource that many animals live off of. one of the animals was the white tip shark this living organism is impacted greatly. the reef houses many different types of fish that the shark can really live off of. The shark hunts at night so all the fish try to hide. the shark can fit threw many small spaces and it is able to get the fish easier. When the shark gets excited they start getting really excited and try to steal the other sharks prey. The coral reef is an important resource and without it the ocean fish would not be able to survive...

The Deep
This video talks about the fish and life styles in the deep. There are some fish that hunt for food by using bacteria. These bacteria give off some sort of light that blinks and they live in the fish. The squid and some tiny squid dont have thick shells instead they have clear shells. These squids also have lights that make them change into different colors. There are other animals that use there lights as a way of getting there prey to come to them. Some fish have eyes that can detect camo from other fish and they attack them like that.

Seasonal Seas
Well the ocean goes threw different types of seasons like the land does. the ocean goes threw summer, winter, and spring. when its summer all the animals start reproducing the plankton population gets bigger and bigger. the animals start living off of the plankton and the plankton start losing numbers. most of the animals get there energy. the whales can eat tons of plankton. during the winter the fish start losing its population. the plankton start to get reduced and then the fish stop feeding. then during the spring all of the animals start to come back and reproduce again and they start the cycle all over again.
water
when we put an ice cube on my skin adhesion and surface tension are both concepts for this project. well with adhesion the water that melts off the ice cube sticks to your skin and it does drip down. after most of it drips down it sticks to your skin.it is also surface tension because it goes and stays on the surface of your skin.it goes down your skin and runs down your hand wich is surface tension because it is staying on top of your skin.

frozen seas
The polar bear is very agressive and it finds ways to survive. This animal takes care of its baby during the winter in hibernation. The female polar bear have ways on how to make sure she gets enough food for her and her cub. They have very good noses and they can smell for a long ways away. They are natural born swimmers and can swim for a long ways away. This is my blog on the frozen seas blog

blue planet
I liked how the fish would go and swim around for food. The Blue Planet is very good at how they film there shows. The mana ray is a very different type of well fish or what ever it is. It can glide threw the water and when it needs to save energy it lets the water take it to were ever it needs to go. The tuna get really big and they can lay lots of eggs. When the fish eggs hatch only a couple of them survive. Blue Planet is very good at what they do.
